Valentina's Birthday Party - Rapunzel Style

When I asked my daughter Valentina what character she wanted for her 5th birthday party, she didn't even hesitate, she immediately answered "Rapunzeeeel!". To be honest, I really enjoyed the movie too, so it wasn't bad at all. I started scrolling through pinterest for ideas, and I found some really good ones. Here are some pictures of the things I prepared for her party, truth is, she and her school friends had a wonderful time, and that fills any mother's heart!

Oh by the way, we live in Guatemala, so the invitations are in Spanish!

This was the boy's invite!

She said, "Moooooom, girls don't like Flynn Rider!!" so I had to create a different invitation for them. I decided to use character cutouts and put them in a bag so they could play with them at home.

I found the cutest tote bags for Q5 each!! (that's about 0.64 cents) So I decided to use them as party favor bags for the girls...

I found this great idea on Pinterest, bought black plates and glued a black paper handle on the back... the kiddos were excited (luckily they didn't bang each others heads with them, haha).

One of them asked the teacher if he could take his "pan" home, she said it was okay, so afterwards everyone was cleaning his pan to put it in the backpack!!

I braided yellow crepe paper and glued it on a crown.
Then I added ribbon and flowers to decorate them.

I have a wonderful mother who sewed her dress!! Of course she loved it! ;)

I've always said that we have the most incredible pinata makers in the world!!!
Beautiful, isn't it?

This is pretty much what we did for her birthday, and I hope she remembers it... at least until next year!!!

Two days later we were driving home from school and she said "Mom, I know what I want for my sixth birthday" and I said "Whaaat?" "I want a Barbie birthday party!!"

So here we go again...
